Granada

What a lovely city! Very upbeat city since 90,000 of the population are collegiate students from the University of Granada.  The most famous attraction of this wonderful city is the "Alhambra".  The Alhambra was a palace and fortress fro the Moorish royalties.  Alhambra means "the red" in Arabic.  It was probably named like that because of the color of the palace and the outer walls.  Granada is in the mountains (Sierra Nevada), so we were able to see the mountains covered in snow in the background of the Alhambra.

The sites that we visited in the Alhambra were the gardens of the Generalife and the Alcazaba (citadel) and the Nasrid Palace.

Love these alleys! With a beautiful view towards the back!
